Single person occupancy of a double room : at certain times of the year we reserve the right to increase the cost eg.2/3 of full price added to single rate for that room.

There is no Service Charge added – that’s left to the discretion of the guest.

* 20% deposit with all bookings, please.

* 50% reduction for all children aged 12 years and under at time of stay, sharing parents’ room.

* 75% reduction for children aged 5 years and under at the time of stay, sharing parents’ room.

* Infants 0 to 1 year old – F.O.C.

Please note, we have much to help you cope with young children on holiday such as a baby bath, high chair, travel cot and regular cots with spotless bed-time linen.

Holiday Insurance – acceptance by the Management for a confirmed reservation constitutes a binding contract between Management and the Visitor. Should a reservation be subsequently cancelled, or not taken up or shortened, and the accommodation is unable to be re-let, then a charge will be made for the unoccupied accommodation.

We would recommend taking out insurance to cover this eventuality.

The Management retains the right to refuse accommodation to any visitor without explanation. We have few rules, but out of a deep regard for marriage as described in the Bible, we prefer to let double-bedded accommodation to heterosexual married couples – thank you.

Arrival/Departure Times – If possible we would be happy if Guests were able to give us some idea of their time of arrival just before their holiday is about to begin, but as a guide only – it’s not essential. At busy times rooms are sometimes not available until 4 p.m. onwards, but you are welcome to arrive at {almost!} any time. Either make use of the hotel’s facilities until your room is ready, or leave your luggage with us and go off to enjoy your surroundings. We will then see that your luggage is safely delivered to your freshened room in time for your return.

Please vacate your accommodation by 10.30 a.m.

Surfers, windsurfers and sailors please note – our car park is down a private drive and off the public highway, which may make it safer for your boat and boards. We can also provide an undercover area to dry out wet suits.

Ladies – if you are here for a wedding or any special function, we can arrange for an appointment at a local hairdresser that we can recommend. We can also arrange for flowers or buttonholes to be delivered to you at reasonable rates.

Newspapers – if you would like a newspaper delivered, please let us know.

Pets – we don’t make any extra charges for pets if supplying own food. However, for the sake of others and ourselves, please clear up after them and don’t allow them to foul the garden, car park or driveway.

Chymorvah is a Victorian family home adapted to an en suite hotel. This means that our rooms reflect that – we’re not grand, we’re not flash; but we are comfortable, clean and with service demonstrated by a keen interest in your time spent in our unique county.

Even if you don’t come to stay with us after all, come and have an All Day Cornish Breakfast or a Cornish Cream Tea in our garden – the view is terrific!
