Here is another double-bedded room, en suite with basin, w.c. and shower and that looks out over our side garden and our neighbours’ fields.

It has a sea view that looks down to the Grebe. Many years ago when in some ways children enjoyed more freedom than they do to-day; local Marazion kids, on summer holiday from school, would pack a pic-nic, pick a day with a very early morning low tide, wade out to the Grebe and spend the day there.

Later in the day, once the food was all gone and the tide had dropped again, they would return to home and bed. Think on that as you look across the water to that long black rock tracing a line from Perranuthnoe towards Mousehole.
